Neat seams and clean edging
Pet and play set-ups priced as options on your written quote
Rooftop and balcony installations
Scope, materials and quantities itemised in your written quote
And what it does not cover
Scope gaps are where landscaping quotes turn into arguments. These items are genuinely outside this service, so you can price them properly rather than discover them halfway through.
- Breaking out existing concrete, tile or screed. If the area has to be demolished before the base goes down, that is quoted as a separate line so you can see what it costs.
- Driveways and any surface taking vehicle load. That needs an engineered sub-base and belongs with hardscaping rather than a turf installation.
- Shade structures. Any turf surface in full Dubai sun gets hot underfoot, so we quote shade separately rather than quietly leaving it out of a comparison.
- Pet drainage and odour-control layers, unless you ask for them and they appear on the quote.
- Community NOC fees. In Emaar-managed communities, turf and artificial grass count as landscaping that needs an NOC, so it is not a permit-free job. Fees vary by community, are confirmed at application and are listed as a separate line on the itemised quote.
The process, step by step
- 1
Measure & Quote
We measure your area, discuss pile height and how the lawn will be used, and provide a fixed, itemised written quote.
- 2
Ground Prep
Existing surface is cleared, levelled and a compacted aggregate base with drainage is laid.
- 3
Installation
Turf is cut, seamed and secured with edging around borders and fixtures.
- 4
Finishing
Infill is brushed in, seams are checked, and we walk you through basic care.
Choose the right spec for your plot
| Option | Best for | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Shorter pile (about 30mm) | Play areas and everyday lawns | A shorter blade stays upright under foot traffic and is quicker to keep tidy, which suits villa gardens with children. Comfort underfoot depends on the underlay and infill as well as the pile. |
| Longer pile (about 40mm) | Showpiece lawns and pool surrounds | Longer blades with multi-tone yarn read as more natural from a metre away. Longer pile needs brushing a little more often to keep it standing. |
| Pet and play set-up | Dog runs and heavy-use zones | Shorter pile with perforated backing for faster drainage, plus odour-control infill. Rinse it regularly to keep pet areas fresher; there is no mud to trail indoors. |
Honest advice on turf in the Dubai climate
Artificial grass gets hot in direct summer sun: surface temperatures can be well above natural grass on a 45°C afternoon. Lighter-coloured yarn, a rinse before use and shade all help, and it is worth asking any installer plainly whether a full-sun rooftop is better served by a mixed design with shaded seating.
Artificial grass cuts irrigation demand, but it is not free of water. A rinse-down for heat, dust and pets is still part of owning it, so plan a hose point rather than assuming the area will never need water.
Drainage matters. Dubai's rare but intense winter downpours flood poorly prepared lawns, so the base should be compacted aggregate laid to correct falls, letting water drain through instead of pooling under the turf. Ask any installer what base depth and falls the quote specifies.
For rooftops and balconies, load limits and waterproofing come first, so a lightweight base system is used and your building or community rules are checked before the quote is final.
In Emaar-managed communities, artificial grass and turf are landscaping modifications that need an NOC, and rules differ by community, so confirm yours with the community office. We prepare the NOC drawings and specifications your application needs.
What moves the price
No two Dubai plots are the same, so we never quote blind. These are the four things that genuinely change the number on your quote.
Area and shape
Cost rises with square metres, but many small beds, curves and edges add cutting, seaming and edging time.
Turf specification
Pile height, yarn density and backing change both the price and how the lawn wears. Ask every supplier for the manufacturer's stated data and compare quotes on the same specification.
Base and drainage
A compacted, free-draining base is the work you cannot see once the turf is down. Existing concrete, tiles or poor falls that must be broken out or corrected are listed as separate lines.
Pet, play and rooftop set-ups
Pet drainage, odour-control layers, shock-absorbing underlay and rooftop load and waterproofing checks are options, priced on the written quote when you ask for them.
Every quote is fixed, itemised and in writing, with materials and quantities listed. It states what is included and what is excluded, and authority and engineer fees appear as separate lines, so you can compare it line by line with any other quote.
